I'm a California native, born and raised here, in Northern California. I began practicing yoga as a therapeutic tool to aid and nurture myself during a life transition and discovered first hand that yoga provided the grounding and inner solitude needed for the journey towards healing, wholeness, and self-awareness.

My yoga studies began at The Mindful Body in San Francisco where I taught, practiced, mentored and worked after completing my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2001. I continued my studies through immersion courses and workshops at the Iyengar Institute, Applied Anatomy Institute, Yoga Garden and The Yoga Society of San Francisco. I have received additional certifications in Yoga Therapy, Yoga for Kids, Prenatal and Postnatal Instruction, and my primary teaching influences have been from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Tim Miller, Nischala Joy Devi, Judith Lasater and Rod Stryker. My favorite local inspirational teachers include Maritza, Peggy Orr, James Higgins and Sarah Powers.

Yoga is life long practice that continues to change and grow as we do. I believe whole-heartedly in its power to heal and transform lives, that I have committed myself to sharing its wondrous gift.
